Students use critical thinking in nearly all subjects and daily life. They learn to recognize what is right or wrong, think flexibly, and analyze and synthesize information accurately. These skills improve their ability to present ideas, enhance their persuasiveness, and foster creativity. Training in critical thinking helps students solve academic problems and prepares them for future life and career challenges.

Teachers prepare middle school subjects, projects, and group assignments. Students work together, learn from each other, and refine their analytical and synthesis skills, which helps them develop creative thinking. Teachers also encourage students to engage in classroom discussions and debates, building their leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. Enhancing physical health is a key priority for middle school students. Sports like soccer, basketball, and swimming help students build teamwork and team spirit. Students grow significantly in both body and mind. Scotch AGS designs its learning environment with plenty of space for physical activities.

In addition to providing modern facilities for sports activities, the school also encourages students to hone their existing athletic talents. Shaping interests is an important part of the middle school program at Nam Uc Scotch AGS. Starting in Year 9, students take eight mandatory subjects according to the Australian National Curriculum, plus a subject called Career Studies. This subject helps students explore and understand different career fields, allowing them to identify personal interests and develop initial career goals.

During this stage, students can choose fields they are interested in, which helps them gain confidence as they move on to high school, university, and beyond. Discovering career interests not only helps students understand their strengths but also makes it easier for them to plan their studies and careers. The experiences and knowledge gained from career studies provide a solid foundation for students to develop and pursue their passions in the future.
