The ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) is a ranking used to assess and compare the academic performance of students across Australia when applying for universities and other higher education institutions. The ATAR is calculated based on the results of high school subjects and reflects a student’s relative ranking compared to their peers nationwide.

The ATAR scale ranges from 0.00 to 99.95. The ATAR score required to receive scholarships from major Australian universities can vary depending on the university and the specific scholarship. Generally, an ATAR of 90 or above may qualify for a scholarship. If students want to apply for scholarships from top global universities or full scholarships, an ATAR score may need to be 95, 98, or even 99 or higher. Some scholarships also consider other factors, such as extracurricular activities, personal achievements, or essays submitted with the application.

Therefore, to know the exact requirements for each university and scholarship, parents and students should consult the specific information on university websites or directly contact the university’s admissions office.
